For the second successive week, the Illingworth batters made hay while the sun shone with a second successive 300 plus score, this time at home to Queensbury.
Despite losing an early wicket, the home side's James Lawton (87) and Dan Murfett (81) piled up a second wicket stand of 169 at six runs an over and a big target for the visitors always looked in prospect. Stephen Cook increased the pressure with a brutal 82 off just 47 balls for his team to finish on 314. 109 runs came in the last 10 overs.
The visitors, whilst never up with the run rate, did not look overawed and a solid 87 from opener Broadbent held his team's effort together. He fell at the eighth wicket as, remarkably, Jamie Moorhouse finished off the game with a hat trick with just two overs to go. Moorhouse ended with 5-45 to help his side get the full twelve points.
