The 1st XI lost by 33 runs at title rivals Booth.
A good start left Booth reeling at 40-3. Dropped catches let Booth off the hook as scores of 62 and 68 from Matthew Hoyle and Richard Laycock laid the foundations for some late hitting. 80 runs came off the last eight overs, Jamie Moorhouse being the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 36 from his 11 overs.
The reply was going well with Illingworth on 77 for 1, before three wickets fell in seven balls, including that of top scorer Hamza Mehmood for 47. The 1st XI slipped further to 139-7 before a late rally saw them to full batting points, Moorhouse (35), Soham Rege (28) and Matthew Watson (16) all scoring at more than a run-a-ball. The reply ended with the score on 210, with just eight balls of the innings remaining.
