Kieran Heaton starred with bat and ball as the 2nd XI beat promotion-chasers Low Moor Holy Trinity in a close encounter at the Jammy Green.
Illingworth were reduced to 65 for 5 after being put into bad before a partnership of 31 between Asif Ali (36) and Adam Mellor (18) helped lay out a platform for the last few overs. Kieran Heaton came in at number 10 and hit seven 4s in an unbeaten 33 from just 21 balls to boost the total to 147 for 9.
In reply, the visitors looked to be well on course for a win to see them promoted, with the opening pair taking the score over 100 with ten overs to go. Jack Watson struck to remove Mark Mills (51) before Kieran Heaton picked up four quick wickets and Ben Clarke two. This left Low Moor 16 runs short of their target.
The 2nd XI are now unbeaten since mid-July, having lost only once in the second half of the season. They travel to Cullingworth for their last game, next week.
