The new season kicked off as Illogan Park RFC welcomed visiting side Lankelly Fowey RFC to the playing fields.
Illogan where off to a flyer with there first try in the 4th minute thanks to Russell May with Elliot Mitchell converting. Lankelly hit back in the 7th minute with an unconverted try. Despite Lankelly having the majority of the possession in the first half, park scored further trys through Chris Price (22 mins) and on the half hour mark by Owen Symonds both converted by Mitchell. Craig Dadd scored 2 mins before the break. Lankelly had 65% of the possession in the first half but Illogans backs took every opportunity with the ball in hand and where rewarded with the trys.
The 2nd half began with Lankelly being the first to score within 7 mins,Illogan too had another try after 15 minutes through Josh Flood.
Illogan played over twenty minutes in their own 22 soaking up phase after phase of pressure from Lankelly, Illogan proved to strong in the final minutes with another try from Chris Price 2 minutes from the whistle, converted by Elliot Mitchell.

Discipline was maintained throughout the 80 minutes officiated well by referee Brian Andrews.
