The first Ipplepen CC social event of 2014 takes place at The Union Inn, Denbury on Friday 7th February as the legendary Ady Byng brings his pig racing extravaganza to town.

For those of a nervous disposition, the pigs are of the small, motorized version often seen in toy shops - so no animals will be harmed during the event.

However the experience comes complete with an on-course "tote" betting kiosk offering the opportunity to win cash prizes on the result of each race.

The action kicks off in the Union's function room from 7.30pm and once the live racing action is over, DJ Steve Spandex will be spinning the wheels of steel on his 70s disco until midnight.

Entry to the event is £3 per person - tickets are available in advance from The Union Inn and from Ipplepen CC committee members - and the event is open to members of all ages and their families and friends.
