Ipswich Seven Ladies 3s travelled to Fram this week for a must win top of the table clash for both teams. Going in as the the underdogs things could not have started better for Ipswich as Vic Clement slotted home a perfect byline pass from nifty dribbling by youngster Amber Duff putting the visitors in the lead very early on. The game was end to end with both sides putting in a good shift and chances for both teams at either end. Unfortunately after a series of short corners and pressure Fram they equalised making it 1-1.

Play continued to flow nicely. Skip Stens playing a blinder in a position she’s not used to was controlling the back line brilliantly. Kiya Smith in midfield ran tirelessly and at one point put in a superb sliding tackle when a breakaway Fram player found themselves in the D alone. Ipswich’s other centre midfielder Nicky Miller distributes the ball around perfectly and one such ball split the Fram defence in half and found Vic Clement making the run towards the D. Vic controlled it taking it into the top of the D as the Fram goalie came straight off her line but Vic had already pushed it into the far right corner. Ipswich were back in front.

Ipswich continued to play their game. Maddie and Amber continued to dribble around the Fram players causing them no end of problems but it was not to be. Continual short corners awarded to Fram put the defence under a lot of pressure and goals 2 and 3 for Fram found the back boards sadly to clinch a narrow win and remain in second place.
