Jasper guests as M3 press secretary with abit of editing!!!

Well I dont know what to say lads, after a 2.5 year hiatus from the sport of hockey it’s only fitting that I get d**** of the day for passing to thin air, and having to write the match report...
The match started off very positively for Ipswich as we applied much pressure playing the game in Newmarket’s half for the first 10 minutes, we almost scored immediately if it wasn’t for Mayhew not properly connecting with the shot which was gifted to him following a bodge from Newmarket defence. A short corner came of it but unfortunately was not converted. The pressure did pay off and Ipswich grabbed an early goal with Tristan slotting in from close range. What followed was a bit of a lull by Ipswich allowing Newmarket to get the ball up high to create a few chances, with Stretch responding magnificently when presented with a tense 1 on 1, It was clear nothing was getting past him today! Fantastic performance Stretch! Later on in the first half Ipswich regained control and a second goal came from a wonderfully struck shot from Sammo who placed the ball through the defence and goal keeper, oh I’ve missed that thud of the backboard getting pelted. 2-0 halftime! After a stern talk from Felix the enforcer we came out well in the second half and controlled the tempo and kept the ball better than we did in the first. With the Wiley old foxes of Langers, DJ Storm and Sammo, Newmarket couldn’t get close to our goal. Whilst the treacle they appear to be running in grows thicker each game, their experience and stick skills make up for what they lack in pace..? thankfully the good work in the second half paid off with a 3rd goal coming from a nice piece of team play up the left between Sammo and Stormy passing effortlessly through a ragged Newmarket midfield, Stormy took the ball into the D and selflessly passed the ball for an easy slap in for Jasper (I’ll take it!). Shortly after, the final whistle was blown and we came away victorious! Man of the Match was David, strong consistent performance from him on the right, with a high pass completion percentage, his input today was invaluable. That’s 3 games on the bounce now lads, let’s keep it up! COME ON YOU BLUES! ???
