Match Preview

The first Suffolk Youth League tournament of the season will be hosted by the Ipswich East Suffolk hockey Club (IES). Can you please select your child's availability as soon as possible. The team selection will be posted later in the week.

Time: Please arrive by 09:20 to give time for giving out shirts and to get warmed up. The first game is at 10:00.

Kit: We will provide blue shirts. It would be great if you could you bring blue shorts/skorts and blue socks, but please don’t buy them specially. Shin pads and gum shields as normal. If anyone needs to borrow a stick please let me know ASAP.

Location: Ipswich School Sports Centre, The Street, Rushmere Saint Andrew, Ipswich, IP5 1DE

Match fees: £5 - please can you help by ensuring that these are given to me on arrival please.

Responsibilities: While the coach will look after the children on pitch during warm ups and games, they are not asked to look after them between games. The team manager is not responsible for children at any time. Can you please make sure that either you are there or another adult is looking after them. The players can come off and go back on again so we normally roll players on and off with everyone taking part in all matches.
All parents welcome - please give strong positive support to our team, and polite applause to others! This is a friendly tournament, with the aim of giving fun match practice to all children in all teams. Please also remember that the tournament is entirely staffed by volunteers who are giving up their time to make this an enjoyable morning.
