Two big tests await IRLAM FC this weekend as we make the short trip to Cheshire to face Congleton Town this Saturday, followed quickly by a trip to Witton Albion's Wincham Park Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday. where we play Northwich Victoria.
SATURDAY 20TH APRIL
First up is a trip to Congleton, currently third in the league and coming off the back of three away wins on the spin, including an impressive 6-1 thrashing of Barnoldswick Town on Tuesday night, the home side will be looking to transfer their away form onto their home pitch at the Cheshire Silk 106.9fm Stadium. The earlier fixture back in November would see Irlam take all three points thanks to an excellent performance on the day, capped off by a winning goal by Marcus Perry to ensure the Bears left the Ambitek Stadium empty handed. Irlam again showed how well they can play against tough sides at the weekend, beating a strong 1874 Northwich side at the Ambitek Stadium.
Certainly a big test for the Irlam side, who seem to be coming into some form at the right time.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY
Our trip to Northwich Vics will prove the penultimate test for our players ahead of the season's curtain closer at home to City Of Liverpool on Sat April 27th .
Our hosts, currently in fourth spot in the Division with a 2-1 win against Squires Gate on Wednesday, have certainly not suffered a negative reaction to their heartbreaking semi final defeat in the F A Vase recently. Our home tie back in December didn't make for great reading as we fell to a heavy 4-0 defeat on the day, a result that the Irlam players will be looking to reverse this coming Monday.
