LIVERSEDGE FC UNDER THE LIGHTS AT THE RG3 STADIUM

IRLAM FC kick off their season in dramatic fashion on Tuesday evening when they begin their FA Cup campaign under the lights at Silver St, at their newly named RG 3 Media Stadium.
Yorkshire Club Liversedge Town will be our first test to overcome in the campaign, and it will certainly be a test for our talented squad of players.
Our visitors were high flying in their league campaign last season, and were certainly well placed for 2nd spot in their Division and a chance of promotion. Like a lot of Clubs, hopes were dashed by the corona virus that put a halt to everybody's season.
Last season saw Irlam go a round further than Tuesday's opponents in the FA Cup, courtesy of a thrilling away win at Stocksbridge Steels that set up a home tie in the second qualifying round. With the game streaming live on the BBC on a sunny afternoon against a very strong York City FC, Irlam would finally succumb to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of ex Newcastle player Steve Watson's side, but certainly got their name mentioned in non league circles for the second consecutive season.
Liversedge would fall at the first qualifying round, for them a disappointing exit at the hands of Stockton FC , going down 2-0 at their Quaker Lane ground.
Both sides have gone well in their pre season, Liversedge interestingly recording a 2-0 victory against Irlam early in pre season, but we are sure the make up of both sides will have changed dramatically ahead of tomorrow night.
Irlam manager Michael Dodd has assembled a talented squad of players ahead of the new campaign, and hopes are high around the Club for a very successful season.

NOTE
Our attendance will be limited to 300 paying spectators on the evening. We have designated this game as pay on the gate. Arrive early in order not to be disappointed.
If you think you may be arriving late at the ground, please consider the chance that you may be too late to gain admission.
