IRLAM FC go into their penultimate pre season fixture tomorrow evening ( Tues 23/7) when they welcome Radcliffe FC to the Ambitek Stadium.
Radcliffe, promoted to the Northern Premier League for the first time in 16 years are building for an exciting season in the higher league after defeating Leek Town last season in the Evo Stik playoff final to seal promotion.
There is no doubt that the Boro have an eye on a successful season in the Premier Division, and the Club are looking to push on beyond, with talk of a tilt at promotion in the coming campaign as one of the objectives for the directors and management team. They have two wins out of two so far this preseason, a 4-1 victory over Avro FC was followed up by a 2-0 win against a Tranmere Rovers X1.
IRLAM FC go into the fixture tomorrow evening with 4 wins out of 4, wins against Glossop, Droylsden, West Dids and Wyth Ams making for as smooth pre season so far, manager Michael Dodd and his team rotating a number of new faces into the side as he looks to settle the squad down in the coming weeks.
The last meeting between the two Clubs took place back in October 2018 when Radcliffe emerged 3-2 winners after an entertaining Manchester Premier Cup fixture at the Ambitek Stadium.
With both sides currently on a winning run in their preseason schedules, tomorrow evening should prove to be a cracking game.
Kick Off is 7.45pm
