West Didbsury make the 9 mile trip from Brookburn Road this Saturday as welcome our nearest Club for what has always been a cracking game, home or away in seasons gone by.
Earlier this season IRLAM FC took away a point off today's visitors in an away fixture that could so easily have been 3 points, an equalising goal from Irlam forward Saul Henderson saw Irlam come back from a goal down, only for Henderson to miss a penalty later in the game against a West side down to ten men, an opportunity missed.
This afternoon's visitors are certainly having a respectable season, currently sitting in 9th spot, five places above IRLAM.
West's last fixture saw them heavily defeated at home, 6-0 in the Lancashire FA Trophy against North Premier League Club Atherton Collieries,
IRLAM were defeated at home on Tuesday evening 2-0 against a very strong Bury AFC side, Irlam down to ten men for part of the game.
