IRLAM FC make the familiar trip to Burscough FC this afternoon as they look to build on last weekends 4-1 victory over in form FC St Helens FC.
The last fixture before our home Boxing day clash against Glossop North End, the team are in good form and are looking to end the year on a high.
IRLAM FC currently sit in 7th position in the NWCFL Premier Division, and sit 9th in the current form table.
Standing in Irlam's way this afternoon are Burscough, who sit in 8th position, right behind the visitors. A six point gap divides the two teams.
Last time out saw todays hosts fall to a narrow 2-1 defeat away at Charnock Richard.
This afternoon is the first meeting between the Clubs in this current campaign, but last season saw Burscough come out on top in both fixtures, narrow 1-0 and 2-1 defeats respectively for Irlam.
It all adds up to what should be a tight and competitive affair at the Community ground this afternoon.
