"It was a close run thing in the Premier Division in September with four teams picking up an average of two points or more. Bury had four wins in the month but suffered two losses, with Prestwich Heys winning six of eight games but losing at home to Step 6 Parkgate. Barnoldswick Town won five of their eight games but lost twice, with the top of the averages being IRLAM, who would have won the award this month, however this has been withdrawn due to a disciplinary process involving the club."

For clarification, the league management committee met and decided that as a result of two cautions in our technical area during September, we would not be awarded Club of the month. This is the ongoing disciplinary process they mention in their statement.
