History

Johnstown Youth FC was formed in the early 80's, at the time John Platt and Kelvin James were running the club.

The club continued to grow with the help of Trevor Roberts who managed several teams between 1990 and 1994 (photo's below).

Various teams competed in the Wrexham and District Youth league over the years.

Mark Baddley started one of the youth teams and took them successfully though the various age groups all the way to form the first 'mens' team in 2005, which now compete in the Welsh National League.

Neil Campbell also has a major influence managing an under 13's team in 2003/04 and taking the same team to the under 16's in 2006/07. As the youth league systems ends at under 16's the club are delighted that the majority of this squad have helped to form a Reserve team to compete in the Welsh National League (Div 3) for 2007/08.

The club has a very strong and hard working committee with Richard Daniels as secretary.

In the 2007/08 season the club will have it largest representation in both the Wrexham and District Youth League and the Welsh National League, with the following teams:-

Under 8's, Under 11's, Under 12's, Under 13's, Under 14's and Under 15's
Welsh National League First Team in Division One and a Reserve Team in Division Three.
