After a slow start playing without the ball for 10 minutes, the Kings boys got going and spent most of the next 30 minutes in OR’s half. However they couldn’t convert territory into points and OR converted a long range penalty to turn around 3 points up at half time. Both teams defences were superb, making tries in the slippery conditions hard to come by. However Ted Rickards finished off a well worked break out inter-changing with Charlie Dockery and Ollie Weir converted. That’s how the score remained until the final scrum broke up under Kings’ posts when the ball squirted out and an OR fell on it to score in the final play of the game. All the Kings boys played their hearts out, finishing the game with only 14 players when Fabian, Cameron & Ben Woolhams were injured off – we wish them a speedy recovery.
