Surrey 7’s Match Report 18th July 2015
Well done boys, winners of the Surrey 7’s Bowl for the second year running. Awesome power from the “forwards” Diggy (top try scorer), Matt, Fabian & Harry W. provided a really strong platform that the “backs” could work off, lead very well by George Taylor (captain) and ably assisted by the “wheels” of Will VK, Luke, Danny KP, Harry O., Jeff & Ollie Weir who also kept the score-board ticking over with his excellent kicking. Apart from a couple of “gifts” to the opposition, the boys defence was really strong conceding only 11 tries all day . In attack they scored 18 tries with a combination of some classic 7’s moves, raw power (in the case of Diggy & Harry W.) or individual “sparks” (in the case of Jeff’s “chip & chase” in the semi-final). Many thanks to Richard Ramsey (1st Aid), Geof Van Klaveren (Phsyio), Paddy Ralston (for his perpetual support) and all the parents who came to support.
