Kings U/8's enjoyed a great day out in the rain & mud at Wimbledon B Festival. Starting slowly in their first match against a strong host team, they lost narrowly 4-6 with Max scurrying & side-stepping for his tries as he did all morning. But they picked themselves up an secured a well deserved 5-5 draw against Cobham in the second match with Jovan, Samir & Micah putting in lots of tackles. After a break in the club-house to get away from the rain and gulp down hot-chocolate with marsh-mallows, they came out fighting against Teddington with Lucy & Alice making some great runs and Benjy & Kwame scoring great tries and they were very unlucky to lose 5-6 with a last minute try by the opposition. They finally triumphed against Battersea in the last game winning 6-4 with Louis pushing up well in the middle, and Nicholas finding his way to the try-line twice.
