Kelso 3s have had a good season.

Kelso 3s have had a good season, finishing up in 6th place in Division 3, exactly half way up the table, winning 8 of their games and losing 12. 37 goals were scored, with 69 against. The latter, however, was I feel made worse by having Berwick in the league, as they actually scored 24 against us, so if we took that off, then the goals against score would have been a lot more respectable.

Playing in a league is all about being able to field a consistently strong team, which is an extremely difficult thing to do, especially as whenever the 1s were short, we frequently lost three of our strongest players. The major plus of players being unavailable, however, is that someone else gets a chance to play and here I would really like to commend Jane, Rebecca, Lauren, Milly, Hannah, Lucy and Emily for the huge commitment and effort they made to the team in terms of always being available to play throughout the season and to Sophie and Molly from January on!!
Also a huge thanks to players from other teams who have helped us out in a few of our matches, particularly the 2s at Dunbar.

Training has been a real pleasure with this group and one very encouraging aspect for the club is that we often have had 4 goalkeepers. Hopefully this bodes well for the future!
My thanks to Julie for all her support with admin and to Lynn for either umpiring herself or for organising someone to do the matches for us.
