Testimonials

Please read below the testimonials from people already associated, playing or who are a member with Kent Football Academy as to why you should take up the opportunity and get involved.

Joe has been attending the Academy since it first opened in October 2010. The training is second to none and of the two previous teams he has been a member of the training he recieves at Kent Football Academy is by far the best. Joe is practising techniques at 8 years of age that older boys cannot do, the training is excellent.

There is interaction and competitive play with older boys which I think is important as it helps the boys to become stronger and mature quicker. Joe thoroughly enjoys he sessions and always comes away with a smile on his face. Joe said that head coach, "Sam does good training and it helps me to learn more in a short space of time." I would highly recommend the Academy.

James has been under Sam's guidance for elevan months now. When James began he was very enthusiastic and willing to learn. He began training with Sam and quickly developed the basic skills. James then had a series of 1-1 coaching sessions with Sam. He worked on James' technique, application and knowledge of football. This included his first touch, cloe ball control, passing and all round awareness of the game. The important in James was there for everyone to see.

James also attends the Academy where Sam continues to work on James' awareness and application. He also works on the players' technical ability. Sam has a strong passion for a passing style of football and uses tis well in his coaching. James is currently the Under 9s captain and leading goal scorer. Without a doubt Sam has had a massive influence on James' progress over the last year.

James likes all aspects of the Academy training. He says he likes the way it makes him feel like a professional and he feels it really helps him to improve. He always enjoys the coaching he recieves and has the up most respect for Sam.

Both my boys, Sam & Alex, have been attending the Academy from the start in October 2010, they have also been with Sam MacNeil at Erith & Dartford Town from 2009 and found the training a perfect addition to their club team training.

Sam is learning additional ball skills which have helped him improve his game where the training tends to focus around individual touches rather than positioning on a football pitch. Alex's goalkeeping has also improved since he has attended the Academy, where sometimes goalkeeper training can be neglected in club training, all aspects of being a goalkeeper is taught from basic shot stopping to teaching them that they can use both feet as well as their hands to clear the ball if necessary.

The boys are always looking forward to Friday academy as the training is constantly updated, and varied incorporating solid training sessions with an enjoyable approach

I found out about the Kent Football Academy through a club email and arranged some 1 -1 sessions for my sons with Sam. On meeting Sam I found a mature confident, polite young man who has a natural ability to teach, it was so encouraging to find someone with the same understanding and beliefs as myself about football. Both my sons Lewis and Conor are currently completing 1 -1 sessions with great results, since they have been enthusiastic about there football and have told me Sam is the best coach that they have had.

Lewis and Conor are learning how to improve their games with technical applicaton, while understanding decision making and awareness. Sam has really made a positive impact on my boys, I'm so pleased to have found the Kent Football Academy when I did. The sessions are well thought out with progression to link each one, that encourages players to understand and break down each stage in becoming a great football player.

Lewis and Conor look forward to every Monday and Sam's coaching abilty is second to none.

My son Tyler has been training with Kent Football Academy since October 2010. The training is to a high standard. The boys train hard but Sam also makes the training fun, all the boys get on with each other even though they are of different ages. Tyler also plays for Erith & Dartford Town Under 14s managed by Sam. He has enjoyed playing at the club this season.
