Kent travelled to the first event of the season with Kye, Terry and new signing Adam in action.

Haverhill Rovers were staging their first FISTF/ESA event, putting on a 1 day Open category individuals tournament. Kye, Terry and new signing Adam Douglas were in attendance as 33 players were split into 7 groups of 4 and a group of 5.

The group stages saw some good performances which saw Kye narrowly missing out on qualifying from his group where he was matched with England Legend Bob Varney, Martin Blanchard and you've guessed it Kent's new recruit Adam.

Kye started with a close match with Blanchard where despite going 2-0 at the break, some interesting calls eventually led to a 2-3 defeat. Adam's first game saw a 1-3 defeat to Varney.

The second game saw Kye and Adam go head to head with a 3-1 win for Kye which then lead to the crucial last matches in the group. Adam unfortunately lost 0-6 to Blanchard whilst Kye lost in a close game to Varney 0-1 with a late goal to go 3rd in the group, meaning the plate was the next destination for the Kent players.

Terry was in the group of 5 finishing with 2 wins and 2 defeats to finish 3rd in the group, missing out on the last 16. Heavy losses to Marco Ghigliotti (1-6) and Brian Daley (0-6) and 2 victories over Richard Roper (4-0) and M Williams (5-0) gave Kent it's 3rd player in the plate.

There were some close games in the plate which saw Adam losing out to Manchester's Dunne 3-4 on shots after a 1-1 draw whilst Terry ended up with the same fate with 2-3 loss on shots after a 2-2 draw with the eventual winner John Turpin.

Kye meanwhile advanced with a 2-0 win over Marco B and then advanced through the quarters with a convincing 3-0 victory over Peter Holmes. This setup a Semi-final matchup with Haverhill hotshot Joe Harrington. It was a game of goals, some questionable, as Kye eventually ran out of steam losing 4-6 in a very attacking game from both players.

White Star's Turpin eventually won the Plate with a 2-0 win over Manchester's Danny Lilley and the main event was won by former Kent player, Elliott Bellefontaine who beat Daley in the IO Final !
