Club History

Established in 1987, Ketton Football Club quickly established itself in the Peterborough and District League winning a number of back-to-back promotions to reach Division One where it remained until 2015 when it won promotion to the Premier Division.

The club's success resulted in the creation of the Reserve team in the mid-90s and a number of junior teams starting from under 7s.

The village club underwent a surge during the early to mid 2010s as the Reserves won back-to-back promotions in 2012-13 and 2013-14. They also reached the final of the Leicestershire & Rutland County Cup in 2013-14. Sadly the Reserves ceased to exist in 2019 but there are plans to have them back very soon.

The first team, as well as winning promotion in 2015 also won the Chairman’s Championship Shield in the same year. The transition to the PDFL's Premier Division saw the club's excellent facilities improved still further.

Having established itself in the PDFL Premier Ketton also triumphed in the SRSN Cup in 2017, beating UCL Division One side Blackstones in a scintillating final at Stamford AFC.

Having undergone a transitional period in the intervening years, Ketton is a club with its eyes firmly set on the future. It is looking to bring new teams to Pit Lane to strengthen the club on every level.
