KEW VERSUS WIMBLEDON YELLOWS PROVES TO BE A HARD FOUGHT BATTLE

Kew faced up to a very physical Wimbledon team and although going behind to a goal within the first two minutes, Kew battled hard to get back into the match. Wimbledon doubled their score after 19 minutes with Kew pulling one back 5 minutes before the end of the first half.

Half time fished 1-2 down, however with arguable the better chances in the first half going to Kew.

The second half saw Wimbledon's tactics of ruthless tackles and physically pushing players have a detrimental effect on Kew girls and the game. Although it was clear that Kew girls had the better skill set, Wimbledon relied on their greater physical strength to 'bully' their way to the goal. Kew battled hard only to go another goal behind. With one final goal for Wimbledon (It must be said that is was a fantastic solo effort) the game finished 4-1 to Wimbledon.

It is true that Kew girls could benefit from muscle building/growth spurting diets, however it is better to see girls play in the true spirit of the game rather than rely on aggression. It is such a shame that the game was marred by the overall feeling of anger and aggression, mainly from the sidelines as it clearly filters onto the field.
