Following the half term break, it was an early home game against Premier League rivals Fleet Town.
A full strength Kew U13's met with a determined Fleet Town. The half term break must have done the girls good, as this was one of the best team performances ever seen.
First half was dominated by Kew with many chances. Fleet Town, as predicted relied upon the quick counter attack. The girls maintained the adjusted defensive shape allowing them to counter the predicted counter! All the pressure paid off and at the end of half time it was 1-0 to Kew.
Second half continued in the same manner, Kew's midfield and attack linked up really well passing the ball and piling on the pressure in the Fleet Town goal area. Once again Kew's defence proved that they could adapt to the quick break tactics, marking Fleet's most dangerous player out of the game. When Fleet Town did manage to get the ball through, Kew's goalkeepers proved impossible to beat. Dominating the game proved the difference between the two teams and after two more goals, Kew won the game 3-0.
Fantastic team effort from all of the girls.
