New Badge

During the autumn and winter of 2019 the club held a design competition, with club players and volunteers being asked to come up with new ideas for the club badge. The idea was to create something modern, fresh, exciting and in line with the Lions core values. We had a huge number of entries and three of these were selected by the club committee. These were then given to the designer of the badge, who took the ideas from the three winners to create several draft designs. The club then had a vote on which of these drafts would be used. This final badge had the huge majority of votes and was a clear favourite. Some final tweaks were then made to the final design before today's launch.

We are really lucky to have had Glasgow based illustrator, Marcus Marritt, produce the design for the club. He has worked on prestigious projects such as designing the FA Cup Final programme covers, working with Aston Villa and Chelsea FC and more recently creating stadium illustrations for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2020. A real coup for the club to have an industry leader involved.
