The Greens Entertain Southern League New Boys Daventry Town At Yarnton Road, Kick Off 3:00pm

The pitch down at Yarton Road is looking in excellent condition as we all look forward to our 1st league match of this new season.
Manager Julian McCalmon has brought together a mixture of new and old, youth and experience for this new season 2019-20.
This is what Jules had to say when I asked him about his view of how he wants things to start "Well the time is upon us again, last year was a really hard one for me personally and the first real test I've faced in my short managerial career, lack of player commitment, lacking in morale, players being unfit and forced to play a style of football unattractive to myself and my management team are just a few examples. Therefore the end to last season couldn't come quick enough for me, however what a difference four months can make and personally I now can't wait for the season to start. We've managed to keep the spine of what was on paper as good as any side around, added real quality in the right areas and more importantly these new players are young and hungry and all want to do there best for Kidlington.
Pre-season has been very good for us, we've played some good football at times, players have got good minutes under there belts and we feel we are ready to go.
We know how tough this league is, with some big clubs with big budgets (Corby, Bedford, Halesowen andNorth Leigh) just to name a few, but I'm hoping this will allow my team to play without pressure and really show what they are capable of". Jules also added "Please get behind these boys, there will be mistakes along the way but this year it will not be through lack of effort!"

The squad for tomorrow against Daventry is - Lawrence, Smith, Tooke, Blackstock, West, Martin, Gabbidon, Osborne-Ricketts, Benjamin, Willoughby, Williams, Gila, Howards, Coyle, Castle, Singh with Morton on standby.
