The Greens win at Tylers Green.

By Barry Hiles

Kiddy come away with the points at Penn and Tylers Green.

Kidlington’s development team backed up a midweek victory against Marlow United with a superb 2-1 away victory versus Penn & Tylers Green. The match was played at Beaconsfield Town’s stadium whilst Penn’s stadium is undergoing upgrading. Nick and Barry’s young side have had an excellent start to the season.

New striker Elliott Powell scored within 2 minutes after Aaron Mortons 25 yard strike came back off the post, making it two goals in two games for him. The first 20 minutes was dominated by the greens but the middle period of the match saw Penn & Tylers Green in the ascendancy. The greens juggled the pack in the second half and substitute Ahmed Farah went on a mazy run before cutting it back for the impressive Jack Gaul (pictured) who smashed home a deflected winning goal. This was the second time in a week that Gaul has come up with a decisive strike following his great strike versus Marlow. Powell should have made it 3-1 late on but the ball flashed past the post and wide.

Next up is Risborough Rangers (A) Tuesday evening 7:45pm KO, Postcode HP27 9NE.

Team: Lacey, Quarterman, Hayward, Spearman, Kidd, Anderson, Gaul, Morton, Powell, Johnson, Southam. Subs all used: Farah, Quainton & Elbro.
