Kilkerrin began there day with a 3-0 over Greencastle FC of Donegal thanks to a Chloe Miskell hat-trick. Despite losing 3-1 to Enniskerry of Wicklow, with Chloe Miskell on target again, Kilkerrin advanced to the quarter finals with a 3-0 over Killarney Celtic of Kerry with goals from Ailish Morrisey, Chloe Miskell & Siobhán Fahy.

In the quarter final Kilkerrin defeated Connacht rivals Salthill Devon 1-0 after an excellent Ailish Morrissey strike. The semi final saw a rematch with Enniskerry and this time it was Kilkerrin who came out on top with Ailish Morrissey again finding the net in a 1-0 win. The final against Shelbourne saw Kilkerrin play magnificently well again and only for two outstanding saves from the Dublin sides goalkeeper, Kilkerrin could well have been victorious. It ended in heartache for the Kilkerrin girls as a deflected goal saw Shelbourne win 1-0 to claim the All-Ireland title.

The Kilkerrin United girls played their hearts out all day and surpassed all expectations in reaching the final. Well done to Damian Mahon, Bernie McDermott and all the players.
