U14's Kicked To Defeat
Coach Bumf happy with the performance but bemoans the number of knock-on's and limited number of completed sets with ball in hand.
21 players today and little cohesion to begin with as ball after ball went down. Defensively coach Bumf was happy and said it was a much improved performance. He was not too critical of the lads efforts.
He said 'we made chances, just did not take them'.
In truth KXP never got going and gifted possession to Garforth Tigers who kicked and kicked and kicked. Why not, it was a wet slippy ball.
Standout KXP performances from Isaac Shaw, Danny Dewhirst, Reece Battye, Lewis Jones,Max Rowntree in carrying the ball forward were equally matched by KXP MOM Lewis Mallinson who fielded so many high balls and returned well. To be fair all players put a shift in but too many dropped balls!
A well worked try by KXP saw the ball go through several pairs of hands and ended up with Max Rowntree scoring in at the corner.
Final score 4-26.
