Park were determined to build on last week’s victory when making the trip to the Leeds team. Park started on the uphill and finished the first set of six with a kick and chase by Mackenzie Bradwell which was collected by Lewis Colbeck. The home team gained possession testing Parks defence and were stopped in their tracks by a Charlie MacParland tackle. But Guiseley barged over the line. Park quickly regrouped, with Kien Mather and MacParland linking well to allow Oliver Wilson to score. Park again regained possession with a fantastic run by George Standring and MacParland allowing Bradwell to score. But Guiseley were determined to score and only a try saving tackle by Louis Marlow stopped them in their tracks. Park picked up the loose ball but were bundled into touch. The home team took advantage and scored. Again Parks attacking spirit showed and excellent runs by Aiden Sparkes, Mather, Marlow and Colbeck looked to have paid off but Park lost the ball over the line. With seconds left Colbeck pulled off a stunning tackle to finish the half. The second half started with a good run by Marlow. Park soon lost hold of the ball but Wilson brought down the home player. Guiseley then scored to take the lead. On the next set of six Kallen Jamieson, Harrison Greenwood and Ryan Bailey linked well to let Standring score. The home team couldn’t break the visitors defence as Bailey and Colbeck again stopped them in their tracks. Luke Goodall then picked up a loose ball and thundered down the pitch but it was Standring who took the honours after a well timed pass from fit again Sam Whitehead. Both teams then lost their cool when a mid pitch fracas broke out and although both teams were at fault it was a Park player who visited the sin-bin. Again Goodall charged down the pitch allowing Sparkes to score. But Guiseley were not in a mood to lose and scored a well deserved try. With only six points separating the two teams it was a tense few minutes but the visitors held on for a fine win.
