Complacent King Cross Park started with a kick off that did not make 10 yards and indiscipline put the rotund visitors in an easy position to barge over for the opening try. The next few sets were much better with props Kieran Baxter and Ryan Barrett muscling up against their fat foes then good hands from the right channel found left centre Will Sutcliffe who fed winger Olly Williams to score in the corner. Direct running from second rower Izaac Beaumont set up a carbon copy play with all about the team Sutcliffe putting Williams over again. Making his first appearance for the team in almost a decade Lewis Tidswell put on some neat dance moves to stretch the lead further. After been put on his backside by an opposing slob loose forward cum prop Ellis Nuttall also tried some footwork and to the surprise of everyone broke through from half way to gallop over. Full back Aiden Dewhirst took a perfect pass from stand off Ben Robertshaw and for the 2nd time in his career made a clean pass to earn the man of the match award by putting scrum half Josh Robertshaw in under the posts. With Josh R moving to hooker the speed around the ruck picked up and winger Dan Watkinson took full advantage of the space to run in from 70 yards. Tidswell again popped up with some elusive running to score and bring a 38 - 6 half time score which included 5 successful conversions from Josh R.

Both sides defended well after the break and it took 15 minutes for Ben R to break the deadlock with a shrewd show and go from 20 out. The backs showed they could pass both ways with the ball moving the width of the pitch from left to right and finding centre Jordan Gray who still had plenty to do to storm in from 30 yards. Wyke reminded Park that they were still here by winning a scrum against the head then doubling their try tally. After 4 years of practice it was pleasing to see a set piece move executed to perfection to put Williams in for his hat trick. With Sky filming Gray decided he wanted more action and appeared in the middle on half way to find a clear run to the line then took the scenic route for the closing try in the right corner where the cameras happened to be. Jonny Binns managed 2 second half conversions.

Tries - Oliver Williams 3, Lewis Tidswell 2, Ellis Nuttall, Josh Robertshaw, Dan Watkinson, Ben Robertshaw, Jordan Gray 2
Goals - Josh Robertshaw 5, Jonny Binns 2
Man of the match - Aiden Dewhirst
