King Cross pushed top of the table Greetland all the way in this hard fought local derby. An early reshuffle worked in favour of Park with second row Joe Barnes driving hard and finding an offload for the supporting loose forward Mick Samples to slide over. Greetland replied with 3 tries and it took strong defence led by learner driver substitute prop Nathan Raynor to stem the flow. Power prop Richard Humphries made headway supported by man of the match second row Zak Dewhirst who created the position for Samples to continue the prolific family tradition with another try. Midfield interplay that was so smart I have no idea what happened opened the defence on halfway for stand off Josh Robertshaw to shoot through and turn the full back inside out to finish under the sticks. A couple of conversions put Park 16 - 14 up at half time.

Making his season debut winger Archie Andrade burst through the middle to relieve pressure shortly after the break. Basic rugby took King Cross to half way where young at heart scrum half Lee Brook sent up a bomb and making his season debut substitute Jack White pounced on a spilled ball to stretch the lead. Park did not take advantage as the visitors ground out their sets to eventually secure the win.
