These are some girls! Putting on a winning performance in front of a home crowd truly is the icing on the cake for our girls. Showing that they deserved to win the competition with their dominating rugby skills on the pitch, they delivered their promise of first class rugby and let the rugby do the talking.
There was never any doubt that this team would excel today, they really are a league above The end of junior rugby for some of this team, some hopeful to join the ladies next season and some off to pastures new. Wishing them all the luck in the world, for as long as they have rugby, they have a team.

Well done lads in a brilliantly won game. They turned up with the sun on their faces and the wind blowing through their bleached hair and showed us the meaning of teamwork, what a way to finish their season

Sometimes the win isn’t the end score but the attitude of a team and U16 girls won this by far. Starting with a bare squad of 15 with no subs is pretty daunting however for a Devon Final is something else. The girls knew they had to dig deep for this one. Knocked down to 14 players early on in the game this didn’t distract them, they played with everything they had, adapting to new positions quickly as the game progressed. A show of pure grit & determination and a few held up tries later and we collected the Devon Plate Final runner up plate. Girls you made every single one of us proud, your courage today was first class
