Rhinos V Claverdon

A hungry Rhinos team took on Claverdon on Saturday, March 19 at their home ground - a match which saw some new players trying out their rugby legs!
The match was a curtain raiser to the First XV game against Old Leamingtonians, and was played on a pitch bathed in sunshine!

The first game saw Max King leap straight into action, securing the Rhinos three excellent tries, along with four tries from Toby Hill, and one each for Dan Washington, Matthew Moseley and Hayden Sharpe to leave the score 10-5.

Claverdon came into the second game much more determined, but the Rhinos showed some good continuity in their play and great pressure defence to leave the score 6-2, with four tries from Matt Moseley, and one each for Toby Hill and Hayden Sharpe.

The final game finished 4-3 to the Rhinos with tries from Max King, Hayden Sharpe and two from Toby Hill.

Clearly the sunshine did the players the world of good as they showed some great team play with excellent tagging from Daniel Davies and great leg work from Max King.
We should also give a big cheer to Milan Jovanovic for his first match as a Rhino! Welcome to the team Milan.
