A great display of rugby from a confident team

The Rhinos U11s kicked off the day with a match against a well-drilled and professional-looking Kidderminster squad.
A great game of rugby, which started slowly but soon picked up pace and saw the Rhinos defend brilliantly as Kidderminster threw break after break at them. But the boys were not letting anything through and finished the game with a well-deserved 4-0 win.
Tries to Toby Hill x 2, Dan Washington and Toby Mansell.

Their first game was quickly followed by a match against Bournville Barbarians (Bromsgrove RFC had very gallantly stepped in at the last minute to loan Bournville a handful of players to ensure they got to compete in the festival).
The teams were well matched, but the Rhinos made the most of their breaks to sneak past the opposition defence and win the game 3-0.
Tries from Toby Hill x 2 and Matt Moseley.

After lunch, their third match was against Walsall - a team who had won their previous match in the tournament 7-0 so the boys were prepared to go in hard and fast!
And with a fine display of passing, teamwork, hard drives and running down the wing, the boys claimed an impressive 7-1 victory.
Tries from Toby Hill x 2, Matt Moseley x 4 and Toby Mansell.

Straight after they were on again to face Camp Hill. By now the team were well into their comfort zone and scored 6 tries against the opposition, making the most of gaps in the defence.
Final score 6-2 to the Rhinos. Tries from Matt Moseley x 3, Toby Hill x 2 and Jack Thomas.

Finally, they rounded off their fixture list with a match against Edwardians. Now comfortably in their stride, they scored 6 tries against the squad.
Tries from Toby Hill x 3, Matt Moseley and Dan Washington x 2.

With bonus points being awarded for any game won by more than 3 tries, the U11s managed to score the maximum points in their league - a well deserved reward for some really quite magnificent rugby at times.
It should be noted that the high number of tries scored was only made possible by the hard work of players at the 'grunt' end of the game - Toby Mansell was particularly industrious and determined - along with some fine passing out from players.

Really well done boys - the result reflects all your hard work.
