
Worthies produced their best display of the season so far with an impressive victory against unbeaten FC Roebuck.
The match was played in warm sunny conditions on the top pitch at Eversley Park before a crowd of supporters.
With only 1 substitute KWFC looked short on manpower but that did not stop them going into the half time break level at 0-0, with the best chance going to Martin Bures whose header was saved by the Roebuck goal keeper Worthies restricted Roebucks attack and dealt with a corners in a more accomplished manner than usual. Indeed the team kept its shape throughout the half with the midfield 5 bossing the midfield and the defence coping with the quick attacks from Roebuck.

The second half opened in similar fashion until Matthew Williment was adjudged to have been pushed in the penalty area, and Luke Young stepped up to smash the penalty home , in off the crossbar. Gaps began to appear in the Roebuck back line as Worthies countered on the break as the game became stretched. Martin Bures who had worked tirelessly upfront was replaced by Mark Topping and following a quick break Matthew Williment fired hope from a tight angle to give Worthies a deserved 2 goal lead.
Roebuck, who were having difficult imposing their passing game on a bobbly pitch were denied a penalty and grew frustrated as Rob Baker produced a string of great saves as the clock ticked down. With 6 minutes of added time Worthies held firm until the last minute and conceded a goal after a scramble in their area. Worthies ran down the clock to claim a famous victory against Roebuck who have already secured the mantle of Division Champions, lost their unbeaten record , against a battling Worthies .
