For the first time in 3 years the inter-club match was playable as the unseasonal high temperature had kept the snow at bay.
Unfortunately a shortage of Over 30s players meant that 2 teams were selected to provide as competitive a match as possible.
With over 35 Kinross Rugby Club players past, present and future stars available on the night the game was played across 3 20 minute periods to allow as many players to get game time as possible.
It was a tight match, all be it not flowing attractive rugby but conditions did not allow (thats the excuse anyway)
One team scored, then the other. The deciding factor was a wonder drop conversion from current player Dunk Wood gave the victory to the Purples.
Much alcohol was consumed afterwards and everything else is a bit hazy....
Thanks to all those who came down for a run out or just to support and have a beer with us. A great end to 2011.
