Knappers Agree New Groundshare

Knappers Agree New Groundshare

Knaphill FC Webmaster13 Apr - 11:00

Knaphill is delighted to announce a new three-year groundshare agreement with Surrey Premier County Football League side Dial Square.

The new deal at Brookwood Country Park Football Ground (Redding Way) will commence from 2026/27 season. It comes a week after Dial managed to secure a top-five place in the Surrey Premier County Football League to gain promotion to step 6 - the level below Knaphill - of the National League System (NLS).

It's our first groundshare since we were offered a new long-term lease under Woking Borough Council’s Community Asset Transfer Scheme in December 2025. Knaphill's fixtures will take precedence under the accepted terms of the groundshare.

Prior to entering into a groundshare at Redding Way, Dial spent three seasons groundsharing at Alwyns Lane: home to Southern Football League Premier South Club, Chertsey Town.

Speaking of the new groundshare agreement, Matt Fance, Football Secretary at Knaphill, said: “The groundshare with Dial Square represents another significant milestone in securing the club's [Knaphill] long-term future, as well as aiding our short to medium-term goals.

“It emphasises the progress that Knaphill has made on and off the pitch to make Redding Way a beacon for talent and opportunity.

“We look forward to working closely with Dial over the next few years to help to bring about prosperity for both clubs,” he added.

Meanwhile, Tony Hurley, Chairman of Dial Square, said: “We're delighted to have agreed a new groundshare with Knaphill. We're an ambitious club and the facilities and durability of the playing surface at Redding Way will support our development over the next few years.

“Moreover, the people at Knaphill have always been very helpful and welcoming, which was a significant factor in our decision too,” added Hurley.

For Knaphill fans looking for their midweek football fix next week, we will be hosting Dial and Laleham in their rearranged league fixture at Redding Way on 22 April (7:30pm k.o.) due to the absence of floodlights at Laleham's Recreation Ground.
