Pre-season is 4 weeks away and preparations are already underway and Knutsford are pleased to confirm the new coaching and management team for the seniors in the 26/27 season.

Firstly, we would like to thank Will Cliff and Nick Hopkins for their work over the years. And while they have stood down from their positions, they will still both be involved in the club.

Cameron said:
“I’m really excited to be taking on the captaincy of the team this year and working with an excellent coaching staff and wider leadership team. We had a great season last year that we are looking to replicate with a young and engaged team that is also welcoming back a number of more experienced players. Excited to get stuck in with pre-season next month. “

Sam Parsons said:
“Having joined the club last season, it was easy to see the passion, quality and potential throughout the club. I’m really excited to be joining the coaching staff as player-coach and looking forward to working with the players and wider team to build on the excellent foundations already in place.

I’m passionate about positive, attacking rugby and look forward to bringing that mindset and energy to the role as we continue to develop and move the club forward.”

The experienced Chris Edmonds will play a key role within the group, bringing his knowledge and support to the club as Director of Rugby. He will continue with Coach Development across the club as well as overseeing the senior set up.

Club Stalwart Matt Beasley continues his coaching journey and will oversee the forwards. He is keen to pay particular attention to the technique and details of set-piece play.

With a strong blend of experience, energy and enthusiasm, we’re looking forward to seeing what this group can achieve together.
