Start of the new Season!

We are less than a week away from the start of the season we restart again next Sunday at 10.30.

As always , the beginning of the season will be hectic on the administration side of things as well as us all getting back in to the swing of Sunday morning Rugby.

There are a number of aspects that need your attention.

Membership fees - fees are to be paid through the Pitchero app , this year we have introduced a DIrect Debit facility for parents if they wish to spread the cost throughout the season. All parents should be encouraged to set this up ASAP if they want to use this facility. As we progress in to the season , any players who have unpaid fees will have to Pay as one payment after a certain cut off point . TBC

GMS Registration - All new and returning players for the mini and junior section must be registered with the RFU by a parent. RFU Regulation requires players to be registered online each season within 45 days of the start of the season or from first joining the club. This simple process involves a players’ parent / guardian registering their child on an annual basis on the RFUs Game Management System (GMS) and being approved by the Club Registrar. For the 2022/23 season the process of Annually Registering an existing player consists of updating a child’s existing record to provide medical information, emergency contact details and updated consents.

Kit - Playing Kit and Leisurewear
This year all playing kit (shirts, shorts & socks) must be purchased via Pitchero and collected from the clubhouse. Please note that the kit is the same as last year (some sponsors may vary) and each item needs to be purchased individually. Your logins will be the same as your Pitchero membership account.

We have limited stock across the whole playing and leisure wear range and age grps so I suggest the early people get what they need the better so we can reorder within the season if required

**Season Opening Day - *Sunday 4th Sept *

We are launching this season slightly differently. With all the admin etc that we really need to make a fast start on this year I am splitting opening Sunday training into a rota to include a 45 min session for various age grps to drop into the clubhouse and sort any registration , membership Issues with Sadie / Russ / Chris who will be on hand to help. Can I emphasis that these sessions are not for the whole age grp to ‘do’ their registration / membership etc , but to resolve any issues doing so. I STRONGLY encourage all parents to have tried to register and sort menbership prior to next Sunday !! These sessions are designed to avoid all age grps descending on the volunteers all at once and avoid delays and allow more time for training !!

U9/10/11 and Above 11.15 - 12.00

*Lucas Briscoe Memorial Trophy presentation - *

Finally, at the end of Sunday session at 11.45 We will be making the inaugural presentation of the Lucas Briscoe Memorial Trophy for Jnr Clubperson of the year … please can we encourage as many players / parents to attend. This is an example of what makes our club and our rugby community so special.
