The U16s travelled to Anselmians RFC to play in their second final in as many years.
With 14 players missing from selection, the development of a large squad came to fruition as the men in blue managed to field a strong starting XV albeit with no subs!
From the initial KO Knutsford applied pressure onto Caldy with their strong runners and immediately started to pressure their line although an intercept try for the away team gave them the first points in the opening minutes. With their backs against the wall, Knutsford then took control of the game with direct running from their strong forward pack and with wide, quick ball in the backs.
Their structure and composure in the breakdown and set piece allowed them to score tries from all over the park - a testament to their development in all positions throughout this season. The Knutsford pressure gave them full control of the game and they won 49-14 by the final whistle.
