UEA v Lakenham Hewett

With UEA unable to field a team this week, Lakenham took five points to add to our league tally without taking to the pitch. Not the way we like to win games but UEA did their best to get a squad together but were undone with several players heading back home for Easter break.

Not to be knocked back by the game being called off, Lakenham fielded numerous players again helping out other teams to help some games go ahead elsewhere within the league structure.

Barber, Wally, Ali and Doug took to the field for a Norwich IIs team at home vs Beccles. A tightly fought contest was eventually won by Beccles taking home a well earned victory. All Lakenham players contributed to Norwich's efforts on the day including a lovely try by Doug early in the second half chasing his own kick forward and some more football skills kicking the ball to the line before dotting down. Thank you Norwich for welcoming us into the fold on the day!

Dors, Nic, Jack, Ginger Tom, Normal Tom and Damo were all in action for Norwich Medics against Norwich Union. A tough day at the office for Medics saw Norwich Union take a big win on the day. Lakenham certainly contributed to the match day pints afterwards with Dors taking the man of match pint for Medics and Ginger Tom getting dick of the day for wearing a shirt you'd normally see hanging over your nan's windows as curtains! A fantastic game of rugby was followed by an afternoon of socialising and eating at Norwich Union with a bouncy castle there for the kids also. Thank you to Medics for welcoming us into their team for the day and for Norwich Union for their fantastic hospitality as always!
