All Evens at March
By Brad Davis
Lakenheath traveled to in form March Town and secured a well deserved point following a match of little excitement and few chances. On a difficult pitch and with both sides cancelling each other out Lakenheath looked the more threatening in the first period with Kelvin Enaro having two shots from distance and in probably the chance of the half Sam Hawley anticipated a back pass and beat the keeper to the ball but couldn't adjust his feet and the chance was gone.
In the second period the home side had more chances but still Dan Corston was largely untroubled until a well worked set piece saw March take the lead after an excellent header with 10 minutes to go. Lakenheath secured a point 5 minutes later when Jack Gould turned in a cross from James McCabe to level the scores although it took a fine double save at the end to ensure the visitors left with a deserved point.
