Lancaster City are delighted to announce the signing of exciting young defender Calen Gallagher-Allison. The 19-year-old arrives after leaving Burnley in the summer, and has featured in several City pre-season games, impressing enough to earn himself a playing deal for the new season.

Supporters will have seen Calen play in the games against Skelmersdale, Blackburn and Southport, and he also featured in the behind-closed-doors fixture against AFC Fylde, all of which he played as a trialist.

A central defender who can also play at left-back, Calen is a product of Manchester United’s academy who made a move to Burnley u23’s. He becomes our eighth new signing of the summer as Mark Fell’s new look side continue their preseason preparations.

Calen is expected to feature in Saturday’s friendly away at Widnes, whilst supporters visiting Giant Axe on Tuesday the 2nd when Preston are the visitors will also get a view of all the new signings in action.
