Dollies in the Community, along with Head of LCFC Media, Maddie Whitehouse, have created an activity book for young children in the local area. The activity pack is designed for kids aged 6-11 and includes quizzes, puzzles and games related to the local football club. The books also contain free season tickets, win-a-mascot opportunities and over £12,000 in discount vouchers for parents. The aim is to encourage young fans to take an interest in their local team and create the next generation of supporters.
DITC has already started distributing the activity packs to twelve schools and over 3000 pupils across Lancaster, with more to come before Christmas. Dave Evans, Director & Head of Community at LCFC, has praised the initiative and thanked Maddie for her hard work. He also expressed gratitude towards Dollies in the Community's sponsors, accessplanit, ChipTech and HiQ, who helped fund the activity book.
This initiative is part of DITC's ongoing efforts to engage with the local community. It will be continued alongside other community initiatives, such as the Team and School of the Week and Walking Football Club. If you're interested in getting involved, please contact dave@lancastercityfc.com.
