Mark Fell has recalled the players for two informal get togethers in the next month before they start full pre-season in mid-June with the league season getting underway on Saturday 14th August.
Discussions are still on-going with clubs regarding pre-season games, but we can announce that on Saturday 3rd July we will have two teams playing in our first friendly games since the 2020/21 season was halted last November. Mark Fell will take a team to Holker Old Boys in Barrow for a 12noon kick off, whilst Graham Lancashire and Rob Henry will lead a team to play away at Garstang kicking off at 3pm.
The week after will see a Lancaster XI go to Slyne on Tuesday 6th July and another City XI will face Wyre Villa on Saturday 10th July.
Our annual trip to Longridge is pencilled in for Saturday 17th of July and we will head north up to NPL Division 1 high flyers Workington AFC on Saturday 31st July.
Further friendlies, including a football league club heading to the Giant Axe and a short 4 team tournament are to be revealed shortly.
We are informed by the Lancashire FA that the 2019/20 LFA Challenge Trophy final will also be played in late July / early August at a date and venue to be confirmed.
