Liversedge
Liversedge have struggled in the first half of this season and find themselves perilously in the relegation zone, just one place off the bottom, currently because of goal difference, though they have played four fewer games than Belper Town who are below them.

Their home record particularly stands out – they have won one game and lost the remaining 10, that win coming at the end of November against Guiseley. Liversedge have been blighted by the winter frosts, having only played one game in December and one in January to date, giving them little opportunity to build momentum. And they are suffering at both ends of the pitch, scoring 18 goals, the lowest total in the league, and conceding 47, the second highest.

However, they have only played half of their season, and with the start to their second 21 games delayed, it remains a possibility that they can rescue themselves from danger.

Lancaster City
City have drawn three games 1-1 in succession, but a break this weekend may have provided the opportunity to reset and look to get back to winning ways. That’s not to discredit the draws in the slightest as The Dolly Blues certainly had to battle for each point and did well to equalise against a good Bamber Bridge side, a stubborn Atherton and well-matched Stalybridge.

Dom Lawson has come into form and scored in the last two games, showing some nice touches and knowledge of where to be. He is one behind top-scoring Nico Evangelinos who last scored away at Hyde United. Mark Fell will be wanting them to combine for more goals as Lancaster haven’t netted multiple goals in a game since that win over Hyde.

Since playing Stalybridge, Lancaster have said goodbye to Dale Whitham as he leaves for Ashton United.

Head-to-Head
Lancaster drew 0-0 with Stalybridge at Giant Axe in late October and had only met with them once before, in the FA Trophy last season.

Here are the results:
30/11/2021: Liversedge 1-3 Lancaster City (FA Trophy)
25/10/2022: Lancaster City 0-0 Liversedge (Northern Premier League)
