Chris Willcock adds to attacking department with first summer signing.

Lancaster City are delighted to announce the signing of Marcus Cusani.

The forward joins after departing fellow Northern Premier League Premier Division side Ashton United.

Cusani, 29, arrives at The Giant Axe following a season with the Robins, for whom he made 37 appearances and scored four goals.

Previous to that, he had been at Atherton Collieries for three seasons.

In his last season at the Colls, he won Goal of the Season for a 40-yard volley against Stalybridge Celtic in April 2023.

Our new man has also had spells at Warrington Town and Ashton Athletic earlier in his career.

Cusani is a versatile forward and can be deployed centrally or on the wings.

He told LCFC Media: “Lancaster is somewhere I’ve always enjoyed going over the last five seasons because of the ground, the fans and usually a good game. As an outsider I’ve always been impressed with the togetherness they have and this has no doubt contributed to consistent top half finishes. I can’t wait to get involved properly and play for the fans, the gaffer and rest of the lads, up the Dolly Blues.”

Credit to Ashton United, along with David Featherstone and Rob Clarke from Atherton Collieries for the images of Marcus.
