Jimmy Marshall has further bolstered his squad with the return of defender Matty Clarke.
Clarke had previously played for Lancaster City at the beginning of the 2023/24 season under Mark Fell, joining from Workington.
Clarke made 20 appearances in his first stint before joining NPL West side Clitheroe. After his spell in East Lancashire, Clarke re-signed for Fell at Workington in November 2024 and ended the season in Cumbria.
Speaking to LCFC Media, Matty had this to say about re-joining the club: “I’m delighted to be returning to the Giant axe, it is a great club, with a really strong squad, that has such big potential to have a successful season. Having worked with Jimmy before it was a straightforward decision and got sorted very quickly. Up the Dollies!”
Jimmy Marshall also shared his thoughts on his second summer arrival: “Matty is a player I know well from my earlier days at Kendal.”
“He’s got good experience of this level having played for the club previously and after having a good season at Workington, we know he’s a good lad to have around the changing rooms.”
