Chris Willcock has strengthened our goalkeeper ranks following an injury suffered by Andre Mendes.
Originally from Bradford, Tom Stewart came through Bradford City's youth set-up before later moving onto Blackburn Rovers, Morecambe and Guiseley. He would re-sign for Morecambe later in his senior career and make his Football League debut in March 2015 against Shrewsbury Town.
His former clubs include Buxton, Salford City and Stalybridge Celtic. In 2021/22, Tom was named Player of the Year and Supporters Player of the Year at Ramsbottom United. His performances earned a move to Radcliffe ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, where he assumed a starting position only to see his season cut short due to a serious hip injury. He had successful surgery in June 2023 before departing Radcliffe.
We welcome Tom to the Giant Axe, wish him the best and are happy to confirm that he has been successfully registered ahead of upcoming NPL fixtures.
